^ But how can it be funny if we compare the capital and regional city.. In such city as Rēzekne there no need for something high to appear, more to the land, there they still have a lot of free land plots to develop the town in densification direction, only thus the town could have a neat look!

You can compare Tartu regional city with capital - Tallinn.

In this point we are losers because we don't involve money for regional cities... (Daugavpils too)

The bridge is nice indeed! Rēzekne will have it's southern carrot too ;)

Oh, so they seem to be doing just fine, although they drop behind, still it's better than nothing (like in Riga case with a bridge of the same handrail colours ;)). Thanks even for that! :cheers:

Rēzeknē pirmā iela Latvijā izgaismota ar gaismas emisijas diodēm

Jaunizbūvētajā Stacijas ielas posmā Rēzeknē uzstādīts energoefektīvs ielas apgaismojums ar gaismas emisijas diodēm. Tas ierīkots 550 metrus garajā ielas posmā no Jupatovkas ielas līdz Zilupes ielai.

Šajā ielas posmā un uz jaunā tilta pār Rēzeknes upi kopā uzstādītas 20 apgaismojuma iekārtas uz 10 m augstiem balstiem. Līdz ar to Rēzekne ir pirmā pilsēta Latvijā, kur ielas izgaismošanai tiek izmantotas apgaismojuma iekārtas ar gaismas emisijas diodēm.

Uzstādīto apgaismojuma iekārtu gaismas kvalitāte ir labāka par citās pilsētas ielās esošajām nātrija un dzīvsudraba spuldzēm. Jaunās iekārtas ļaus pašvaldībai samazināt ielas apgaismojuma sistēmas uzturēšanas izmaksas, jo tām ir ilgāks ekspluatācijas termiņš, mazāks elektroenerģijas patēriņš, kā arī tās ir noturīgākas pret elektrības padeves traucējumiem, vibrāciju un mehāniskiem bojājumiem. Svarīgi, ka uzstādīto iekārtu kalpošanas laiks nav atkarīgs no ieslēgšanas-izslēgšanas biežuma.

Arī būvprojekta 2. kārtas 840 m garajā posmā – K. Valdemāra ielas pagarinājumā no Upes ielas līdz Stacijas ielas jaunajam tiltam, plānots uzstādīt 25 šāda tipa apgaismojuma iekārtas.
